Embracing Neurodiversity

This exhibition explores the unique abilities of neurodivergent individuals, showcasing works by artists who think and create differently. These artists, some of whom have been labeled “stupid” in their youth, have turned their heightened senses and unusual thought patterns into strengths.

The exhibition underscores that while neurodivergent individuals face challenges, their differences are often the source of their exceptional abilities. From emerging artists to Turner Prize nominees, the featured talents highlight the advantages of neurodiversity without glossing over the difficulties.

Visitors to “Intension” will not only witness a diverse array of artistic expressions but also gain a deeper appreciation for the profound impact of neurodivergent perspectives on the arts. By presenting works that challenge conventional aesthetics and narratives, the exhibition invites audiences to rethink traditional notions of creativity and intelligence. Showcase of neurodiversity at Copperfield Gallery is a testament to the resilience and innovation of these artists, encouraging a broader understanding and acceptance of different ways of experiencing and interpreting the world.
